I have to agree that Glam is all around the world, not just in the states. Hell, in my opinion, The best glam at the moment seems to be coming out of Sweden, Finland, and Paris. Check out Gemini Five,Negative,Private Line, Undercover Slut, Vains Of Jenna, HIM, Babylon Bombs, and etc.

If there is a band to break...I'd like it to be Cheerleadr as they have this totally "don't give a shit attitude about anything except Rock N'Roll. Plus they would stir things up and their songs kick ass.

also according to Eric, the actions of one Murderdoll is jeopardizing the future of the Murderdolls. though all of the Dolls are doing something musically while Slipknot is churning along, it seems that they are not happy that one of them is basically carrying on the Murderdolls look and sound. the words that were spoken to me were "if he continues doing what he is doing there will be no more Murderdolls"

I can understand that... although wasn't W13 doing the same stuff before Murderdolls i.e. Frankenstien Drag Queens...
Anyhow what about the re-release of the Tigertailz CDZ? Don't forget Juliette Lewis and the Licks, we've also got The Donnas as well! & Cruifird Barbara!

what i do think they are upset about is how they took on the black and red look. the guys in W13's band all have the red stripes in their jet black hair and then couple that with the horror theme (which W13 had working before the Murderdolls) and they see it as using the Murderdolls popularity for his own purpose. i guess they all agreed to not play any murderdolls music in their solo ventures. they wanted to keep everything separate from the murderdolls. who knows really?
i don't think the re-releases of the Tigertailz cds will have any affect seeing that they really had no affect outside of the already establish glam community when they were first released.
i really don't think glam will ever make a comeback like people are waiting for. to become the in thing you have to appeal to the kids, the 15 to 25 age group and no one coming out in pink spandex, girls make up, big puffy hair and pretty boy looks are going to go over well with the kids. for as much as they sell motley crue and poison shirts in hot topic (you can always find them on the discount shelf) the kids look at them as jokes. i have 2 nieces in high school and when i ask them what the big bands are and who they listen to you get the normal green day, my chemical romance and yellowcard. when i say how about motley crue, ozzy, poison you get ewwwwww noooooo no one likes them. it's not going to happen.
there are a lot of bands out there now that are influenced by 80's music and are very good but they are not glam, never will be glam, and don't care to be glam. the 80's early 90's were a great time for living and for music but they are over.
Agree with Bill here.
Old bands reunited is good for a nostalgia trip, but hardly relevent to the youth of today.
The kids might listen to their folk's music at home, even enjoy it, but until a teen band does glam, it won't be cool. Can't see it happening.
No kid wants to be a social outcast.

As for the rest of what you are whinning about, I have a feeling you are preaching to the choir here man. I have a few things that I won't trade, but those things I was asked to NOT trade by the bands. It has nothing to do with my wanting to be superior. I already know that I am [img]wink.gif[/img] . It just has to do with me not wanting to piss off the fine people that have given me stuff. On the few things I have sent out that I am questionable about the artist as to if they want it in the trade scene, I have asked those I have sent to (usually only people I trust such as Ian with the RCC stuff) to NOT start shipping it all over.
As for selling an original CD on eBay for $100, we know that I have NO problem with that. Get what you can get for your own property.
Charge $100 for a CD-R, you are an asshole. I have been one before. Ya live, ya learn. Plus, those were Proggies I did it do, so eh, oh well.
The main problem with "our scene" is that fact that the majority of the bands in it are boring or kind of suck or are living off the past. It has nothing to do with somebody hording tapes and CD's. Blame the music, not the fans. Duh.
